Under highly undesireable duress, I am requested by another poster who shall remain unamed (it was PecosGeorge)...a new topic for the poets amongst us to irrigate their thoughts. I request that the admins (in their hypothetical state of wisdom), devise a discourse referendum as a vehicle for the more or less (as the case may be)prose-be talent.

The children sat around the fire huddled together in fear as the Old Man told tales of ghosts. And deep, in their wide eyes, I saw a smile sparkle. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

why you little
bad boy, wait til I get my hands on you. (laughing, thanks) Where's your cotton pickin' poem? You must post one to win. I'll post one, too, as soon as I get home, and you better not laugh at it. now I must check the contributions so far. i think it will be a wonderful experience to look at folks from another angle. Their spiritual side, and all have one. George

It has great rhythm. Put a little drum beat to it, shuffle your feet some, throw your arms around.........what does it mean? It's better just to ask outright.

The waves washed up the beach pushing back the Sandpiper armies in a never ending battle, only to retreat leaving treasures for a young girl to find. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

Here is peom I wrote. The Table From across the table your brown eyes glisten, in the softness of the candlelight I close my eyes and listen. I Listen to your clear words, I see your youthful face, And years from then I reflect upon that magic time and place. You spoke of a inner saddness, of a longing and lonely pain. Of how you often felt the clouds, long before the rain. You spoke of unfullfilled desires and a heart that is bound in fear, you touched my heart and made me love you through my unshed tears.
