Congratulations
Congratulations DC!! Personally, I like Kimi. The name is sweet sounding, can be different enough to satisfy parents yet close enough to Kim to make it easy on the child, the meaning is wonderful. Best wishes to you and your wife. AdminAsgara Queen of the Universe

Congratulations. I would go against Kimi. While it is great as a child it is not as great as an adult. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

That's great DC, congratulations! Of the names you've mentioned I like Alana best. There's a female name that's been used twice in my family and I think it's lovely: Liesel. It's a German name, but I think the German spelling is 'Liesl'. I don't know for sure what it means. One of the children in the popular musical The Sound of Music is named Liesl.

Danielle is nice. It is, of course, the feminized version of a truly excellent Hebrew name which means "judged by God". What's the last name? (If you're comfortable sharing it.) It's hard to tell what sounds good without the last name.

Hm, well then, Danielle's out. She'd sound like a 40s superhero. But Marina Darmanin sounds very nice.

Congrats DC, best wishes to you and your wife. I like the name 'Lorna', meaning 'crowned with laurel'. Brian.

I can hear the conversation now in 5 or 6 years... "Daddy, how did I get my name?" "Well, honey, I went to EvC Forum..." Congratulations! If you choose a name suggested here, does that make EvC Forum the godfather/mother? Are we invited to the baptism? --Percy

Congratulations! Ninamra means "Child of Joy" in Gaelic. Okay, I lied. I just like the thought of her name being a palindrome. I do like Jelena. Would it be pronounced with the Slavic j, like "yuh-LEEN-uh"? regards, Esteban Hambre This message has been edited by MrHambre, 05-25-2004 04:47 PM
