In a recent conversation with a Creationist at work, an argument was presented that was new to me. The assertion was, because of a phenomenon called The Genesis Threshold molecules couldn’t get achieve the complexity required for life without some outside influence (read that as God).
Naturally my bull sh*t meter fired and went even higher when he argued that energy from lightning strikes, meteor strikes or the sun didn’t provide the kind of energy required to produce some of these molecules: the only option was God. (He couldn’t say which molecules by the way.)
Having never heard of the Genesis Threshold I decided to do some research. I cannot find any references to it in Google or Google Scholar searches.
Is there anybody that can explain what the genesis threshold is and how it supports the creationist position?

Not looking good for promotion
"The Genesis Threshold" sure sounds like just putting a fancy title on the religious belief "Abiogenesis couldn't have happened without God's help".
You might want to point out to your co-worker(?) that even if "The Genesis Threshold" is true, that's still just the starting point for biological evolution.
I don't see this as being a viable topic, unless you can come up with some more specifics on the concept. And I highly doubt that your creationist has any.
