How many jobs are we giving up in the name of job creation?
We gotta put down the EPA; they stifle growth and hold us all back.
Alternative energy is neither a thing of the past nor a thing of the future; it is in fact no thing at all.
Walking to work instead of taking your car; you might as well steel food right off people's tables.
But wait a minute!
Isn't the EPA made up of people who get paid...? Isn't working for the EPA a job?
Doesn't that alternative energy need someone to invent it, to build it, to sell it...? Aren't inventing, building, and selling all jobs?
And aren't those things... those things they put beside the road to accommodate pedestrians... don't those things get made by people paid for their efforts...? Isn't laying down a sidewalk a job?
In all honesty, how many jobs are we just passing up in the name of growth, progress, the economy, andmost ironically of alljob creation?

It's a gubment job, and increasing the number of gubment jobs makes gubment bigger. Every time we hire a scientist at EPA, or DOT, or the NIH, or NASA, Gub-Ment gets bigger.
Sure we might get some things like roads, drinkable water, and medical research that isn't done by the private sector, in other words, real value for our tax dollars. But we also get more Gub Ment, and that must be avoided at all costs.

So does arsenic in the water supply. I guess we need to strike a balance.

The BOP

You're missing the Big Oil Picture. U.S. energy companies can help you with that.
Here in the U.S., we're producing more domestic oil than at any time in the past eight years.
Still, energy companies and their stooges continue to attack Obama administration energy and environmental policies, notwithstanding the large numbers of existing oil leases they have not even begun to develop. Asking them to support green policies is absurd--cutting demand would be like cutting their own throats.
That's because they see the BOP.
They could get bigger, richer, more powerful.
They could enjoy fewer regulatory constraints...if those pesky liberals, and their namby pamby concerns for the environment, jobs and equitable income distribution, were driven into a wilderness clear-cut and fracked.
Right now, minimizing the number of jobs created during 2008-2012 is a big part of the BOP. Everything else will flow from that.
Besides, they don't need no stinking jobs.
