Member: Bolder-Dash
Forum: Coffee House
Thread: Where Have The Creationists Gone?
Message 35
It's good to see our Chinese creationist posting again. At least Dr Adequate"s creationist shortage thread brought back one of the silencABE: ed effective creationists.
Bolderdash caps out re-affirmations of what other creationist members have been alleging.

Dr. A!
Message 243 in the "How do "novel" features evolve?" thread.
EvC Forum: How do "novel" features evolve?
Its classical Dr. A stuff, the epitome of what this website is all about. Who says this site is losing its touch. You want quality, what more can you ask for? Deep, brilliant, insightful, scholarly, and so well researched, ..I mean seriously, its the quintessence of what Dr. A and EvC are all about.
I don't know how he does it, but... bravo! Bravo!

Although Dr. A's reply is factually accurate, pithy and correct in its assessment of ScottyDouglas' post, I do not feel it quite meets Dr. A's normal high standards.
Therefore, although I commend you on suggesting such a consistently good poster for PotM, I cannot support your nomination of that particular post.

Message 19
He explains why science must rely on evidence and repeatability, and shows that answers from Gedankenexperimente are merely the beginning of the process of arriving at reliable conclusions about the real world. He also offers a challenge to anyone who would seek to learn about the world; when you think you have an answer, think about the consequences of that answer and take things a step further before announcing your results.

It has always struck me as odd that fundies devote so much time and effort into trying to find a naturalistic explanation for their mythical flood, while looking for magical explanations for things that actually happened. -- Dr. Adequate
Howling about evidence is a conversation stopper, and it never stops to think if the claim could possibly be true -- foreveryoung

Dwise1 certainly deserves much attention, but I'd also like to add this recent Tsunami from RAZD, later in the same thread - it's almost like they are a tag team of decisive obliteration: Message 109
Just a modest mention.

I would like to second the RAZD recommendation.
An impressive post explaining surprisingly clearly some quite complicated physics.

Yes, I am nominationg Artie
Author: Artemis Entreri
Forum: The Bible: Accuracy and Inerrancy
Thread: Superiority of the 'Protestant Canon'?
Message #: Message 35
Artie and I seem to have no love for each other I know. But when someone posts something noteworthy it should be applauded. This post shows that, when he wants to, Artie can contribute with intelligent meaningful arguments.
In the post Artie takes JZwhatever's argument and shows how ludicrous it it. He sets forward some basic questions for J that shows the utter inanity that exists in the argument being put forward. Also, he does this without flaming or personal attacks but with a touch of the sarcasm and bite that we have come to love from Artie.
To set things straight I have no desire to have Artie banned. I just want the admins to temper him a bit so that instead of threads devolving into personal attacks we can see more of this side of him. I will rarely agree with Artie, but love to debate him when he sticks to the meat of the argument.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
