Age Is A Feeling Not A Number
I just turned 58, and plan on retiring by age 70, though I dont feel like working 12 more years. I will be able to draw a modest pension within 4 years which should barely keep me afloat until age 70 when I can draw full social security, assuming it is still around by then. Sadly, I have failed to save any real money towards retirement. Im not quite sure what to do. Heck, my strategy as of today is to get healthier so as to be able to work as long as possible....I'm taking it one day at a time.
When do you plan on retiring, jar? Aren't you nearly 70 already?

Re: Age Is A Feeling Not A Number
I retired about a decade or so ago and would have done it even sooner if I had realized how much fun it is.

I'm hanging it up in a few weeks, at 70. I mostly only feel that old when I try to get out of bed, or maybe out of the car after driving four hours.
More time to hang out at EvC, I guess. And I can drive around town at 20 mph to irritate kids driving behind me.
