now, i'm listening to it live, so i'm gonna list the time on my clock, not the time on the show, later i'll replay and use the
10:40 (john calvert) the biggest problem with materialism is that it leaves me without a purpose (mainly because i'm not smart enough to give my own life purpose)
10:47 (alan leshner) we've learned a lot about the mind and it's not tangible in the same way as a rock, but we can measure it and observe it... maybe what you mean by materialism is what i see as observable, testable, reproducable... anything outside of that is not science.
i think it belongs in the coffee house, but it's such a hot issue that it's better left somewhere else.
