the problem with the Gap Theory

Actually, the main problem with the gap theory is the misconception that you somehow maintain "literalism" by massaging and twisting the semantics, interpolating and extrapolating any possible meaning that will reconcile the text with real-world information. If you somehow accomplish this, you've defeated your initial purpose. If not, your purpose is thwarted by scientific knowledge.In summary: damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Admin would probibly be inclined to blank message 1 (for reasons I'm not going to get into), and tell you to try again.I'm just going to close it down, with the suggestion that the discussion be taken to the "Gap Theory" topic. I suggest that you try to make some more concise statements there.
