Star Dust
With the Northern Lights come many mites
Which carry their story to us.
Tho’ tis hard to glean from each little gene
The story that’s in the dust.
Codes now reveal life’s story we’ll
Carry within each of us.
True it is scary just how little we vary
But carry this story we must.
It’s quite a grand scheme, our Creator’s dream
To bury within the dust
In each little lobe of every microbe
The essence of life in trust
Through space and time it’s truly sublime
That from these seeds will bust
And finally grow into the life we know
On our speck as glides though the dust
In our global thaw it was man’s luck of the draw
To evolve into a form
That can truly dream a glimpse of His scheme
On a world that is still warm
And maybe somehow, probably not now
But sooner than later we must
All realize man’s minute size
And how small his part in the Cosmic must!
