News Article on Hill's death
quote:
by The Associated Press
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Brown versus Board of Education attorney Oliver Hill has died at 100 years old.
Hill was at the front of the legal effort that desegregated public schools.
A lawsuit that he argued in 1951 on behalf of students protesting deplorable conditions became one of five lawsuits decided under Brown.
The case was named after the Reverend Oliver Brown, the lead plaintiff in the Topeka, Kansas, lawsuit.
Attorney Hill had remained active in civil rights causes in recent years -- despite being blind and in a wheelchair.
His family friend, Joseph Morrissey, says he died peacefully yesterday at his Virginia home.

What the hell, guys? This guy spent a life time fighting for many people's rights. The least he could get is one last recognition that he once existed.

He left the world a better place than he found it.
