If the universe stated without intelligent design, it doomed to end without it?
There is a well-known hypothetical that states that given enough time, monkeys pounding on typewrite keys will eventually type out Shakespeare’s compete works. As far as I know, this experiment has only been competed once. The result was that it took 50 million years, which that assumes we start with the first primates as the first monkeys and includes the time it took to invent the typewriter. Those who believe that life is random will see this as a random effect given enough time to play out over every possibility. I see it as Intelligent Design, if not God’s design then certainly Shakespeare’s.
We already see advances in genetic science which will allow future generations to not only decode the genome but to understand it. Future generations will be able to code the perfect person. What will that perfect person look like and what will he/she encode in their DNA to create the next generation?

• Comments on intelligent design noting that we do have examples, though the identity of the designer might be an open question.

• An expression of interest in the course our evolution might take were we to begin modifying our own genome.

Can you edit your proposal so that there's only one topic? Do you want to discuss intelligent design or humans guiding their own evolution.
