If admins are going to feel totally free to not pay attention to whatever threads they find too complicated, is it possible that some kind of thread panic button could be implemented, in order to signal for the stern hand of moderation?
Or are out-of-control posters just going to be allowed to get away with whatever they like, no matter if it's in the Free-For-All or not?
I suppose it would be overused, huh?

How about the button simply be a call/suggestion for moderators to have a look at any given post for whatever reason? Then it wouldn't be "over used" since the moderator would simply ignore or attend to it as seen fit. This would be a way for everyone to aid the moderators who are hard pressed to cover all the forums.

I'm hearing alarms already!
Do you think the moderators and admins should carry beepers?
You can always send email to Admin. You can also email the other administrators, but I haven't gotten to the item on my todo list that says, "Add a link to a page with a list of the moderators and administrators that includes their email addresses."

How about an obscure little yellow "poster flag" which could be placed on any selected post by anyone reading with anonimity? Busy moderators could then zip through a thead in a hurry checking for these flags until such time as a more thorough reading would be possible. I suppose that could be abused too though.

Yeah, Percy, and have a blue and red flashing light and siren on their car so if their beeper went off they could get to a puter quickly. Also a portable defibrillator so they can jumpstart their heart when they finally log on and see what a shambles we've made of the board!
