Re: Onifre?
You'll need to let me know if you are ever at the Edinburgh Festival, I live about 30 mins away and I'm sure we could do a bit of damage to a bottle of whisky or 2.

Re: Onifre?
Danny is very funny, although he does alienate some of his potential audiences with the spelling of his surname.
There's a few good Scottish comedians at the mo, but I find Craig Hill hilarious.
I love the festival, we go to quite a few shows every year. I love the intimacy of some of the venues, you can go to a show of a fairly well-known comedian and there's only room for about 30 or 40 people. That makes it harder to hide though! I always get picked on at these shows but if I've had a good drink before I go in my partner Lorna always warns me not to give any back chat!
I was at Paul Tomkinson last year and sat at the front, we had wee bit of banter, Lorna was mortified!

Oh Bhoy!
It's to do with what's known as 'Scotland's Secret Shame', IOW bigotry.
We still have a problem with the old Catholic - Protestant divide in Scotland. This hatred manifests itself daily mainly through the entities of Glasgow Rangers and Glasgow Celtic football supporters.
Traditionally, Rangers supporters were more or less all protestants and Celtic supporters mostly catholics. It's difficult to comprehend unless you live here or in Ireland.
'Bhoy' or 'Bhoys' is a name that Celtic are known by, The Celtic Bhoys, which I think was originally a spelling mistake! I could be wrong though.
But I know people who wont watch Danny because they think his surname means ne is a Celtic supporter, and I have no idea if he is nor not.
The whole thing is n embarrassment to Scotland, the Scotland's Secret Shame reference was taken from a speech by our then first minister Jack McConnell.
