Ok, I have a few questions about the bible & other religions...
First I want to ask about faith in God. How come he doesn't do any of the miricles anymore like in the Old Testament, why did he just decide to stop on day...
Why did God only talk to people in Jerusalem, its one of the smallest countrys in the Ancient Times, why didn't he visit Persia, Greece, Syracuse,or Lebanon...It seems to me that if God & Jesus wanted to let everyone worship them they would have to tell everyone...

Maybe God invests in televangelist companies?

Well, I think you mean when God dwelled with his chosen people?
Ofcourse, it is interesting. As we go further back in time he did seem to be more active, lol. Parting the sea, appearing to Moses and coming down upon the Jews, with his presence, the Tabernacle.
I guess therein lies the clue. He seemed to have a special purpose for his people in that period of time, and so he chose to wrought his purpose even himself at times. If you want a job doing properly - you have to do it yourself.
Now that Christ has been, God's purpose is that the Kingdom should be preached throughout the world. I suppose that there are still miracles anyway. I have heard of many miracles surrounding the preachers of the Gospel. Where you find the purpose of God you will usually find the miracles. That's my opinion, I hope it's accurate.
Also, when you ask about "faith in God", Christ often said "where is your faith". We can have faith without seeing, he also said "blessed are those who believe when they have not seen". Faith will and does reward us, and miracles are still being wrought by God. You may not hear much about these things though, if you don't even know what televangelist is. How can you find something without seeking it? -
Remember what I said? - You might find God's miracles where God's purpose is.

First welcome home. I hope that you find this an interesting and challenging place.
You ask
quote:
How come he doesn't do any of the miricles anymore like in the Old Testament, why did he just decide to stop on day...
Many of us would say that he has not stopped, that GOD still performs miricles.
You also asked
quote:
Why did God only talk to people in Jerusalem?
Again, many of us would say that he did not just speak to the few in Judea.
To me, as a Christian, it is hard to so limit GOD by saying that he could not talk to and reach others. For example, he reached out to Mohammud which led to the creation of ISLAM. He certainly spoke to the Jews.
GOD is quite capable of reaching out to and speaking to any who are open to listen, and in a format that they can accept.

And don't forget Jesus's tour of Central and South America, as recorded in the Book of Mormon, or more accurately the Golden Tablets. And don't forget about his second coming as His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie (Rastafari).

I have some comments!
you said:

what make you thinking that? people of jerusalem is just like you.
God or(ALLAH) can see ,hear ,help any one .You can ask him what you need then you will gain one of two:
*you may gain what you ask for.
*or you will benifit of it in the other life(if you beleive in). so keep asking God (ALLAH) what ever you want . there is no need to any one between you.

Mohammad? Jesus/The Lord spoke to Mohammad? I believe it was the devil, Jesus said, do not follow the false prophets!
I believe, and I know this will offend, that Islam is a satanically controlled religion. The bible teaches this fact.
Before you get all upset, this is my belief and I am entitled to it, regardless of any repercussion's, legal or other.
I believe Jesus is the way the life and the truth.
As he said, If you are not for me, you are against me.
It just so happens that the way the life and the truth has so very many votes in the US, if not we would be in great danger.....Coming Soon!- As Jesus foretold may I add.

Since all religions (basically) offer the same help and guidance, it's rather difficult to chose. The major religions of today, also have the same morals and promises (again, basically).
Since all claim to be right and use miracles and scriptures to back up their claim, it's kind of impossible to filter to see who's right and who's wrong.
The only real evidence the one religion has over the other is in their scripture and using once own book to prove the other wrong is rather pointless.

Hmmm....
has anyone got statistics on how many cataract surgeries are done annually? The one my mother had worked real well. Yes, Nasa, I can see how medical science is more effective than mud and spit in fixing that ailment.

Those claims are made by other religions as well. Miracles were done by the Egyptians in the OT, so it's obvious that Christians aren't the only ones who can make these claims. The koran is also filled with miracles and Occult Japan Or The Way of the Gods: An Esoteric Study of Japanese Personality and Possession (1894) from Percivall describes shinto miracles.
So, I could look at theirs and belief as well.
