Buz is most emphatically wrong. There is no link between autism and vaccinations.
I know, you're gonna call this "anecdotal" evidence and dismiss it. But what can you say about this claimed connection between autism and vaccinations. That link is not the only one, and it may have been cited before on this thread; I haven't checked.
If you want to go get vaccinated for the flu or whatever, go ahead. But I won't. I won't even get vaccinated for the bird flu when flies in makes big $$$ for Big Pharm. But go ahead and let the med-pharm complex screw around with your immune system if you want to. Good luck and good health.

Anecdotal evidence of this sort is dismissed becasue it is worthless.
Then would you agree that most of today's medical diagnoses are worthless because they are also largely anecdotal?
If terrorists detonated a dirty bomb that started a smallpox epidemic, would you rather get the vaccine, which involves some risk, or risk getting this disease?:
I'm guessing the smallpox case pictured here in not American. How many Americans do you suppose have NOT been vaccinated for smallpox? How is your dirty bomb going to cause a smallpox epidemic when most of its intended victims are already immune to the disease? And if they are not immune to the disease then what was the point of the smallpox vaccination in the first place? You're running a circular agrument here.

Academic princess
Look. I played with mercury in my dad's dental lab when I was a kid.
As a grad student, I have a 4.0 and got my undergraduates degrees (all 3 of them) magna cum laude.
Well, maybe in your case the Hg did you some good. Or maybe it did nothing at all. Actually, what you are doing here is using anecdotal evidence to argue that anectodal evidence is no good. And you're also disputing the clinical evidence of Hg poisoning. You've caught yourself coming and going through a two-way door of credulity.
Still, I think a grad student in molecular biology ought to know a nucleic acid when she sees one. I would expect more from one who claims to be the academic princess of this forum.

Oh, I imagine its an increasing number, thanks to the irresponsible anti-vaccination hysteria you and Linda are working so hard to promote.
Please don't bogart that Kool-Aid jug. Pass it over to someone who who will drink that sweet stuff. And, while you're at it, why don't you call for booster shots all around for every vaccine know to man? Couldn't they just spike our drinking water with all those non-anectodal chemicals that the med-pharm complex wants to sell us? It would be a whole lot more cost effective...oh, now I get it.
