Awards for piss heads?
We have all done it. One comes home (maybe one has been to a dinner party, out with the lads or one of those messy works do's where you land yourself right in it) and decides that now is the time to write your thoughts about......anything, really. Should there not be an Oscar for that? If not, why not? Larni. Watching a DVD of Battlestar Galactica season one. Drunk. Hoping for an award. How hot is Starbuck? I mean the female one, not matey off of the A Team.

Well, don't watch the last season: stop watching at the end of season 4.
I watched season 5 and I wish I could give it back.
To quote a reviewer: "Season 5 retroactively ruins the previous 4 seasons."And yes, Starbuck is considerably better looking than Dirk Benedict.  Edited by Panda, : No reason given.

Series one of the new series. Don't know about your stance on the last series. Word of God has it that they were making it all up since series one and I really liked the genetic memory thingy and the writers strike truncated series four (so I am told). Either way one cuts it; great series, charismatic characters (poor Mr Gator), and (occasionally) some nice space battles. Be advised I am drunk and therefor, invincible. But with good punctuation.

Season 4 was cut in half (due to the strike) and so they made a season 5 (a.k.a. the second half of season 4).I hated the last season - and I always advise people to avoid it.
It creates twice as many plot holes as it fills.
And some of it just plain makes no sense. Up until season 5 though - a really good, solid series.

What?  and miss the mutiny? That has to be some of the most compelling tv I have seen in a long age. Wouldn't miss it for the world. I agree that the spiritual element becoming overt was a mistake and unnecessary, but I went with it and still thoroughly enjoyed BSG right to the end. I think it helped that I watched it a few months late, so had already been spoiled on the religious turn that events took.
