Violent propaganda

I agree with others that the propaganda would have an opposite effect of the one desired.One point to consider is that the terrorists have sidestepped the U.S. technological net designed to capture them. This indicates to me that their communication and support system is based on human messangers and is anti-tech. Any technological blitz against them will make them that much more anti technological. This war is a war of ideas and ideologies.One thing that might break them? Drop money on them. Money and the tools of the Great Satan system of the west. They would in theory implode.

Seriously, though...consider the fact that in the third world, over 50% of the populations are under the age of 27. They want to come up in the world, and they don't want to be Capitalist clones. They were and are young and impressionable, thus the dogma of the elders has fostered terrorist ideology. As exposure to the ways of the West increases, many will abandon hardcore terrorist activities, but ideologies do not change overnite. Look at the far right Christian ideologies that justify a military industrial mode that the U.S. is now under? Prophex nifty quote on social darwinism had me scramble to understand it.(you must be taking it in school) It makes sense, though. Aging Americans want to keep their social security and eat their cake too. In order to do this, any upstart rogues who want to build wealth on the planet must accomodate the U.S. interests first. Thus, we have a war.

It does make sense, does it not? I think that the REAL reason that we are at war is because 2% of the worlds population which owns or controls 90% of everything was threatened economically. We have spent over one hundred billion dollars on this war so far. If we had spent 50 billion dollars in foreign aid...giving away material goods instead of handing money over to potentially crooked leaders...who knows what type of good will would have been generated?Ironic how we worry about Social Security domestically. Being at war is quite an insecure thing in and of itself, don't you think?And the bottem line is this: There are as many if not more potential terrorists out there.
