Nice job on the Hamlet. I've got to say, its one hell of an undertaking. Care to elaborate on the thinking behind it a little? (I particularly like Old Hamlet by the way - you don't see the application of golden age arcade game design values to Shakespeare productions nearly enough).
But I'm not really writing this because I'm interested in your stuff. I'm writing it because I'm interested in MY stuff. I used to do a comicstrip too! It was about a Frog and Rabbit odd couple. Very quickly I found myself identifying with the rabbit significantly more than the frog. I don't know what that says about me.
Not having the faintest bloody clue how to actually design webpages myself, I've taken the easy way out and put a couple of them up on googlepages.
There isn't any through story to speak of, and they're pretty ameteurish. Tell me if any of them make you smile. I'll get round to neatening the site up and putting the rest on eventually. If I can be bothered.
One thing - is the text readable? Ive had an awful time trying to get them to fit right on the page (that's an understatement).
Cheers, and keep up the good work.

Re: This Version Is Hopefully Louder
I'm really liking what I've heard so far... I'm writing this just as we arrive at a rather purposeful part (I'm imagining its Music to Mine Minerals To). I also really liked the opening, and agree with Ringo that it is spagettiish. Considering you only have what? 4? strings at your disposal you are managing to keep interesting. I don't know much about the technical side of music but it has all been nicely melodic and varied. I don't think you mentioned what you were recording with. Is it Audacity? That's what I use primarily.
I can't resist posting a link to my songs up. See what you think of these...

That sounded really nice. Fight Club was the only one I got too. I like backwardy sounding guitar. Do you have any more?

Re: This Version Is Hopefully Louder
Live eh? I got a copy of that in the new year...thats Abelton, right? I've not got round to using it. Why? Because it doesn't seem very friendly at all. I like Audacity because you can hit record and go. This doesn't really seem to be possible with live. I'm sure it is, I'm just impatient. Actually, I'd really love to be able to use it. Does it have a matrix edit interface where you can arrange drum tracks etc... I simply couldn't find it.
Do you find it relatively easy to use?

Thanks back at you! Its really great to hear that you like my voice, because I've always been rather ambivalent about it. To me it sounds like a goose with a lisp, at least when I'm singing.
I have heaps of other songs, which I'm going to cycle on the myspace over the coming weeks. If you fancy more of the same or similar, head on back over to myspace.com/hypnobrick periodically!
The drums here are (on Doing Your John Wayne Thing) courtesy of an 80s casio keyboard, and on Queen of the Ocean, that was something else I don't know the name of. I went round to my friends house to record the whole thing with Logic on his mac, and he had this drum loop program that has loads of recordings of actual fantastic drummers of various styles with all kinds of fills, and you stick it together really easy because theyve done most of the work. I can't for the life of me remember what that was called though, sorry.
I mentioned to Kuresu that I have something called Live by Ableton, but I haven't had the patience to learn how to use it. It doesn't seem to work like Logic or Audacity and I was totally frustrated when I booted it up to experiment. I should really read the manual one of these months!

Re: This Version Is Hopefully Louder
Brilliant, thanks for the Live tip - I honestly hadn't got as far as being able to record a single note yet. Why did they make it such a dog? I suppose it might have lots of super features that require a slightly more esoteric control panel?
I've spent the last couple of days going mental trying to make my first website look nice (yay!), with only partial success. I should be able to have a play with Live tomorrow.
