I support this highly progressive and forward thinking legislation.
After all, why give kids to people who actually want them?

Don't worry,I am most definitely being sarcastic! I'm not sure what made you think pedophile, but that wasn't what I meant.
I always have to ask: why is a law like this any more acceptable than one stating that an interracial couple can't adopt? Trent Lott's party threw him right on his ass for suggesting in passing that segregation was a good idea. Why doesn't that happen with gays? I'm curious to see if anyone on this site would step up and defend this kind of legislation.
This isn't quite on topic, but it is interesting. I recall a study covered in the economist where Americans were asked "Would you vote for someone of your party if they were a ____", where blank was pretty much anthing except "white male." I was surprised how high the favorable percentages were-for everything except "gay." The only comparable rating was for an atheist. Go figure.
