Why is buzsaw being banned and on the evo side, for example, contracycle can still post? I have to fully concur here, especially after being in debate with both of these people and finding buz to be the better of the two. I can understand his reluctance in some areas, but had trouble with contracycle where I was also astonished at the vitreolic attacks that seemed to me to have no basis. It got to the point where I asked admin to look into it. I've even had better dealings with Syamsu than that run-in with contracycle. we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand RebelAAmerican.Zen[Deist

quote: That's easy: 1) Conservatiives are ridiculed for their hypocrisy. "Government out of our lives!", etc. They are clearly using Ms Schaivo for their own political gain, which is disgusting. 2) Liberals actually believe in individual rights and people's freedom to express themselves, even though we may disagree, whereas the NeoCons (aka facists) seek to shut people up and restrict individual rights as much as possible.

I understand that the admins and others here have issues with the dealing wiht buzsaw and that perhaps his pig-headedness in some respects warrants this removal.
That said, I will step in here to say that if we make this a permanent ban then I will no longer post here myself. We cannot possibly be considering removing buzsaw even if he has blatantly engaged in rule breaking since we happily goad him on in many ways and continually engage him in conversation depite this.We could just as easily have ignored him but, people,if we cancel him out do you really think he will ever learn? Just because he pushes buttons and does not see what is obvious does this mean we cannot try to overcome the years of misinformation that has been presented to him. Anyway I have made my stance clear.I wish you all well in life.

Maybe not, Admin revoked his posting privileges not his post reading privileges.

See Message 1. Buzsaw's posting privileges have been suspended, not his login.

It saddens me to see Buz so banned, to me he was a long running feature of this site.
All the best, Buz.

Buzz, if you are reading this, consider with me how some of these liberals are willing to lay down their own posting privileges for YOU!?
Such a discussion board! The ones who staunchly argued against you are now defending your right to be clueless and annoying! Apparantly, here in your case the liberals are turning you into Ward Churchill! In my last comments here in the Buzsaw Eulogy thread, I appeal to you, Buzsaw. The people either could care less about you, in which case they should ignore you, OR they want to appeal on your behalf for you to come back, which leads to this post. I respect authority, and EvC is not some sort of huge liberal commune! This is Percys boat, like I said before. Just because a respected chap like sidelined wants to tie his virtual self to some railroad track so as to stop the train and force the conductor to deal with the problem his way, (a strategy that liberals use which I dislike...they never bow to authority...probably why so many are atheists...) does not mean that we have to reinstate you! Authority needs to be used occasionally. We simply cannot have a huge commune where everyone votes on everything now can we?Or am I wrong? How many activists want to support Buzz? Any more beside sidelined and Wiz? Herewith a poll: Vote yes-R to reinstate Buzz and restrict him to bootcamp.Vote yes-F to reinstate Buzz fully...with all privileges restored. Vote No to keep Buzz suspended and to move on. My vote? Yes-R. Keep in mind that this is still Percys forum, however. Boss, what do you think of all this? Care to vote? Is it my turn now to read my respects?
Old Man Buzsaw. He did have a mistaken view of my religion, and we crossed swords a few times because of this (the 'Fundamentalists' thread and the 'Allah/Yahweh' thread), but at the end of the day, I'm a bit disappointed that he's banned now... his misunderstanding did force me to read, analyse, and reason, and he was a good opponent. Too bad I could never correct his misunderstandings of Islam. So long, Buz. To the others, I have no opinion about his banning, but the debates with him was intellectually satisfying. Really.

Also realizing that this is not a democracy, I vote yes-F. Boot camp is a failed experiment.

There is another option.
"I don't care." I realized (slowly) awhile ago that Buz wasn't worth arguing with as he is unable to hear. Since it is easy to ignore someone how about the option of "who cares?".
