It is not that any of this is new in the US. I remember when I was a kid, a group of conservatives forced Johnson and Johnson to change their symbol of an old man with a beard because they claimed the curls in his beard read 666 and were promoting satan. They also protested the cartoon mighty mouse because in an episode he sniffed a flower and then went off to fight i.e. promoting drug use....it seems social conservatives have an abundance of perverted imagination and free time.
