anastasia you seem to know the trinity well
could you provide the scriptural basis for the teaching?
Especially anything that Jesus said about it seeing he would have been talking about himself, he should know it pretty well.

The translation about the Word being God or the word being a god!
its in line with the text of the original greek Septuagint
'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with ton the~on,and the Word was theos'
in this verse there are two forms of the Greek noun for God (theos)
the first is preceded by ton 'the' is the definite article... the second instance has no definite article and the rule in Greek language is that if both have definite articles then they are the same, but if not, then they are two separate things being spoken of.
As an example, 1 John 1:5 "God ho the-os is light phos"
in essence its saying 'The God is light'
if light was preceeded by a definite article, it would read 'The God is The Light'
Also in John 2:24 'God is a Spirit'
1John 4:16 'God is love'
God is preceeded by a definite article, but spirit and love are not. So we can say that God has the attributes of spirit & love, but Spirit & Love are not God.
Its unfortunate that most translators have allowed their theological ideas to be the driving force in their translations rather then just relaying the word for the way it was written.

If I am not mistaken, JW's have a unique and provably incorrect chronology of the Neo Babylonian Empire. I don't have a JW bible, but if they are like other editions, they might have put some of the dates in the margin.
in what way do they have a Babylonian chronology??? In what context are you referring to?
