His conclusion is that life is a design as opposed to a freak of nature.
Indeed, but only because he behaves dishonestly, claiming that "nobody has ever studied this" when even the most simplistic search of the literature would show literally thousands of papers studying the very phenomena he claims nobody has bothered to look at.
Every single example Behe has ever brought forward as an example of "irreducible complexity" has been shown to be not only reducible but has actually produced a specific evolutionary pathway to account for its presence.
And yet, he still claims nobody has ever looked into the blood clot cascade. During the Dover trial, he made the same claim that "nobody has ever studied" various topics in molecular biology and the prosecutors started pulling out paper after paper, stacking them in front of him, to the point that he had to complain that he could no longer see over them.
He knows the work is out there. He simply hopes that you'll be too ignorant to know about it and too lazy to actually look it up for yourself so that you'll believe him when he says that "nobody has studied this."
For example:
quote:
Just because he has no answer for who the designer is
Incorrect. He has a very specific answer for who the designer is: It's god. He has directly said so.
Why don't you know this? Have you bothered to look?
quote:
and many other scientists btw.
No, that's a lie fed to you by creationists. There's a reason why when you go through the published literature, you can't find any articles regarding "intelligent design." It certainly isn't because of a conspiracy. After all, if you could overturn the dominant paradigm of biology, you'd win the Nobel Prize and every journal in the world would be beating down your door, begging for the opportunity to publish it.
That "list of scientists" you've been fed is mostly a list of people who actually aren't biologists. Why should we expect people who don't know the first thing about biology to have anything useful to say on the subject?
quote:
Life is far too complex to have arisen by chance.
Why? Where is your evidence of such? Your source can't seem to provide any, so clearly you are using some other justification.
Where is it? Why hasn't it been published? What are you waiting for? The Nobel Prize is worth more than a million dollars. Wouldn't you find that a good incentive?

Thank you for your submission to
Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time.
