Many who really are on the Left notoriously consider themselves less than Left.
Actually, most that the conservatives think are on the left are really less than left.
But you miss my point. My point is that Horowitz did not make this observation. Rather, he answered with a barely relevant anectdote.
If you conservatives would just try to collect data like was done here, we would be able to take you more seriously. Then we would actually have something to discuss.

Re: Academic bill of rights my A**
What about my idea for a comission to go search for the evidence that you and CS seem to be struggling to find? Don't you agree that law making should be based on an objective need?
If you would take the time to read the relevant information at the links that have been provided I think you would see that the objective need has been adequately demonstrated and the fact that legislators are taking it seriously is evidence that that is the case.

What Horowitz is doing is so obviously reasonable and needed that the bizarre objections, the apologetics on behalf of the indoctrination methods themselves, and attempts to smear him here do nothing but prove how desperately needed it is.
Have you ever attended university Faith ?
If not, I suggest you are not qualified to comment on these 'indoctrination methods'.
If yes, then I suggest that the 'indoctrination methods' apparently had little lasting impact one your world view, and cannot therefore, be categorized as such.

Re: Academic bill of rights my A**
We don't argue by link here at this forum. Please post the relevant evidence directly with links as support.
In particular, case studies are not enough.
Thanks

FOX has a pretty good system they have cooked up. 10 mil people watch the show on the network, FOX. Then 5 mil, different people, tune into FOX News to get outraged by it. I just hope that those good, God fearing people at FOX continue to battle those morally bankrupt people at FOX.

Re: Academic bill of rights my A**
That's odd. You have demonstrated that you know how to cut and paste and use quote boxes, and yet I see none of this information in your posts.
I have read through some of those links. I have found nothing but quotes from yet other people simply asserting the same things. All of those links just seem to be repeating the same thing over and over. Having read the same thing three or four times, I just don't feel like wading through every single link just because you claim that in one of them, somewhere, is the data that will prove your case.

Absolute denial of the dilemma a conservative or religious student is in who DARES to challenge and critique what the leftist professor dishes out!
I submit that any good professor (let's assume a Poli-Sci professor)
who happens to espouse a leftist viewpoint would nevertheless welcome all opposing viewpoints for purposes of discussion. He wouldn't be much of a professor if he didn't. All challenges and critiques are welcome because the course couldn't be fruitful without them. The rightist student is not in any 'academic' dilemma beyond having to learn to debate and argue a viewpoint. Hearing views espoused that are not equivalent to yours does not amount to persecution.
Let's get one thing straight. You are not graded on what you believe in university - you are graded on how adeptly you are able to explain and defend your ideas, regardless of the viewpoint you take. If this could be proved otherwise, the professor should most certainly be censured. I doubt it occurs very often. It's goes counter to academic principles that run deeper than any political conviction for most professors.

Okay, witching hour.
Time to put this to bed.
