Re: Problems with posting and editing
for me it's not problems with posting and editing--my read/unread problem's come back. I can see your posts on that thread in the link given for the latest message. jar's got the cause right, it appears. I wonder how many other people are having problems with one or a few specific items right now?

Re: Problems with posting and editing
now that the site is working for me again (I think my school's internet screwed up somewhere) It's annoying, but not much I can do about, other than live with it, huh? I guess this is the only forum where I've even heard about forum software updates. Is this something that all, or most, forums do?

Re: Last but one
your post is the last to appear in my All Topics listing. Of course, why that happened, is becuase apparently, there's a separate close function, and you got lucky. You posted inbetween her message and when she actually closed it.

I've got the same problem with that thread too. just a touch annoying. (unlike the refusal of my profile to update my read/unread posts history, which is highly annoying, recurring, and until the next software iteration for this board, can't be fixed)

this is for percy too. I have deleted the cookies. I got the unread/read thing to work again. And it came back in a few days. This was back in september, I think. Jar helped me with the problem. (it's in my thread "weird question" I think) I only acces EvC with or // http://www.///cgi-bin/dBoard.cgi?c=1. Oh, and it wasn't until just in september that the unread/read stopped working properly. And I haven't changed any settings (to my knowledge) as to cookies. I'm just putting up with it for now, and rely on the all-topics page with the latest message link (fortunately, those do turn dark brown, from light brown, when I click on them).

Now that the world* is on standard time . . .
why isn't the board? From message 14 of my thread:
11-07-2007 03:29 PM
My computer time is right--it's currently 2:29 (Mountain Time). My profile is set to mountain time. I am logged in when I see this. When not logged in the site time is two hours ahead (Eastern Time). I'm assuming it would now be 3 hours ahead. *except for those places that don't celebrate daylight savings time. May they rot in hell . .er . . celebrate the light

don't worry cave. As soon as percy releases dB 3.0 he'll start fixing you. Just pray it doesn't entail your head in a cage of viscious man-eating rats.
