Re: Return of the Phoenix?
Mind telling us how it happened?

I just figured it out. Percy, you're clever

Owing to the deficiency of the English language, I have occasionally used the academic jargon generator to produce phrases that even I don't fully understand. The jargons are not meant to offend anyone or to insult anyone's intelligence!

Re: Return of the Phoenix?
While a check against existing aliases is performed for newly registered names, the check was missing for new aliases for existing accounts, and your request for the Nemesis_Juggernaut alias was granted in error. I fixed the bug and gave the alias back to NJ.

Re: Return of the Phoenix?
See, I don't know how it happened either. When I signed up for nemesis_juggernaut, it said I wasn't permitted to take that name. That's why I signed up for nemesis jugqernaut. Later on, I noticed that among my aliases there was a nemesis_juggernaut. I was like "oh well" and didn't pay attention to it since.

Re: WARNING!
I got an email from someone from evc a while back with the same topic, too. It seems that some people do use email to evangelize.

It's okay now that I rebooted. Before neither date or time was showing.

Password retrieval problems for linked accounts members
Randman and I have been exchanging e-mails.
His has lost track of his password, and the password retrieval system does not work for him. You get this message:
quote:
Sorry, we cannot process your request because more than one person is using that email address.
As he suspected, and I confirmed, it is because of linked accounts using the same e-mail address. I got the same message when I tried to retrieve the Minnemooseus password. There is the work around of changing to two addresses, but still this seems to be a bug.

Re: Password retrieval problems for linked accounts members
Yes, this is a bug, but I'm incredibly busy this weekend, have to work pretty much all the way through. I'll just send Randman his password manually.

Firefox spellcheck does not work in subtitles
It may well be a Firefox bug and not a bug, but I do note that subtitle spelling errors are not flagged by Firefox. It does work just dandy in the main message entry box.

1. type this in the browser address bar “about:config”
2. look for “layout.spellcheckDefault”
3. change the value to “2”
4. restart firefox
By default I think it only spell checks textareas not input type = text
abe: How rude of me. I copy pasted those instructions from Josh Highland's blog
