If by this you mean the first emergence of the homo sapiens species, it is thought to have occurd somewhere around 200.000 years ago. If I recall correctly

Well the Creationist would say that 4400 yrs ago after the flood occured the earths population was 8, that be Noah and the rest of his crew. They say that 4400 yrs is more then enough to bring the population to where it is today. Now if that be the case, what would the population be like if we had 200,000 yrs to populate the earth?
Yes, and they are wrong. You've perhaps seen Kent hovind make this argument, showing a nice little graph? You will notice all this graph does is rise, it never drops. Now, In the medieval times, the plague decimated Europe for up to 3 times, in the first and second world wars, millions died, this would've made an impact on that graph, yet, we do not see it, therefore the graph is not a representation of reality

yes i have seen some of kent Hovinds presentations and i have to say he is very convincing for someone that the Evolutionists say doesant have a clue. I would have to say i am wavering towards the ceationists as there is so much in the evolutionary theory that doesant quiet sit rite with me, one thing is i really cant see how we can get life from non life. If this was possible, why dont we see it in nature today?, or is it happening without my knowledge?.
Evolution deosn't say anything about the origin of life though, that would be abiogenesis. As far as evolution's concerned god could've created the original life, and evolution took it from there.
As for Kent Hovind, try watching some of the extantdodo videos on him on youtube, they explain a great deal about where he goes wrong.
P.S.: Welcome to EvCForum

Re: extantdodo
Dammit, next time he’s back up, I’ll download all his videos and host them up myself when he gets taken down again. Seriously, why can't some people take criticism.
ABE:
Seems someone already had that idea, check out: https://www.youtube.com/user/djarm67 he has most of them up I believe, sadly, due to length restrictions, he's had to cut them into pieces.
Edited by Huntard, : Added link to hosted dodo videos
