Re: Guilty Pleasures
Oh my god! If I were your father I would disown you.
You think that's bad, read my list of music that I'm ashamed of enjoying:
1) Coldplay - I enjoy countless songs of theirs.
2) Chris Isaac's "Wicked games".
3) Sting's remake of "Fields of Gold".
I also enjoy playing guitar hero...a lot.

Re: Guilty Pleasures - music
I am known by friends and relatives as someone who loves and is immersed in classic American hardcore punk - Black Flag, the Freeze, Crucifux, Dead Kennedys, MDC, etc. I often wax nostalgic about how sad it was when punk died in 1985 etc.
Punk music never really had grip of me, perhaps because I was born in 1983...

Re: YEAH BOY! Public Enemy Number One Is In the House
I was never really a fan but I saw them at Glastonbury Festival in 2005 and was actually pretty impressed.
Coldplay crept up on me, like a cold that begins with an irritated throat, by degrees. I have yet to see them live...I have yet to buy any of their albums, actually.
I wish I could go to a Glastonbury Festival. Cloudy weather and all, the Brits still know how to have fun.
I wanted to be black and angry.
The closest I could relate is my love for Rage Against the Machine. Not embarrassed about that one, though.

Re: YEAH BOY! Public Enemy Number One Is In the House
I've seen them 3 times live and have at 3 of their albums. I must really be ghey.
From the posts of yours that I've read, I wouldn't have taken you for a Coldplay fan.
I'm jealous, I would like to see them live. Do you remember where you saw them?
