Re: Lam and Crash acting children
On the other hand, people that believe in God assume that ID is right since, like Phat said, they "know" the Creator.
Gotta be careful there. Many of us see no signs of ID in the examples presented so far by the ID movement. And we certainly don't see ID at the critter level unless you consider ID as Incompetent Design.

Re: Lam and Crash acting children
And all the designs are Rube Goldberg, just good enough to get by, really poor efforts. If humans or any other critter are the result of a designer, the designer needs to be sacked as grossly incompetent.

Re: Lam and Crash acting children
Guido, let me take some time and try to answer you.
First, can I get a few basics out of the way.
Are you willing to agree that for our discussion, we can both accept that we are approaching the issue of Intellegent Design as Christians?

looking at Intellegent Design
Okay.
Let's see how far we can get in agreement.
Would you say that an example of good design would be a system that was self-correcting?

Re: looking at Intellegent Design
Okay so far.
Then could we compare two systems:
  • one that is internally self-correcting.
  • one that needs constant operator involvement for correction.
can you say that one is a better design?
