There are a few Republicans who go against the grain. After all, neo-conservatives hijacked the Republican party in the 80's, making true conservatives a dying breed.
There are a few Pink Elephants (gay Republicans). Pundits like Andrew Sullivan exist, albeit in small numbers. Most Republicans prefer their gay sex to be clandestine, like in airport bathrooms or with gay hooker meth heads (or by soliciting the help of a gay hooker to help carry your bags, or seducing 17-year old Congressional Pages.
They wouldn't have their trysts any other way
