I don't have any evidence that women lack a sense of humor. At most, I have evidence that they lack a sense of humor when in the presence of men. But they do seem able to giggle between themselves, as sometimes observed from a distance.
I do know some women who seem to be fine with humor. They are women who have a lot of self-confidence even in the presence of men.
