What a dirtbag!
I didn't realize just how low this guy was until this article came out in the Florida Today newspaper today.
http://opinionmatters.flatoday.net/
Not only is he against gays adopting kids, but also thinks Native Americans shouldn't be allowed to either!
From the news article writes:
George Rekers was one of only two witnesses Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum called in an effort to reverse Miami-Dade Judge Cindy Lederman who ruled Florida's adoption ban unconstitutional. Florida allows gay people to foster children but is the only State that bans all gay people from adopting.
McCollum paid Rekers and a colleague $87,000 with our tax dollars for their testimony which called gay people mentally unstable and advised that the ban should be expanded to include Native Americans because Rekers claimed "they are also at much higher risk of mental illness and substance abuse."
