I think the government blew up the oil rig on purpose. This way in a few months they can find another way to tax us. Obama will also use this to create more government jobs to clean up the oil spill, and spend more of our money, instead of cost effectively trying to stop it now.
I think the governments job is to serve and protect us, and right now we are being attacked by oil, why isn't it all hands on deck to try and stop it? Sort out the blame game later, our first priority as humans should be to save our planet from this disaster. We all use oil, aren't we all a little to blame, with BP being mostly to blame?
How could it be so dam hard to stop this leak? They have huge ships that can make man-made islands in Dubai, yet they can't suck up that oil as it comes out until you figure a way to cap it?
We can put a 2000lb bomb in chimney stack from 60,000ft, but we can't plug up a leaking hose.
Jesus, crimp the line....do something....
Of course this is all Bush's fault....

May I ask what it is you expect the government to do about it? As far as I can see no one knows how to deal with it.
Should they create a Department of hole plugging?
I think the government blew up the oil rig on purpose
Yes Yes and we never went to the moon and Obama was not born in the United states....
This way in a few months they can find another way to tax us.
yes because the Government wants your tax money to horde and hide in a cave
First you say
Obama will also use this to create more government jobs to clean up the oil spill, and spend more of our money, instead of cost effectively trying to stop it now.
then you say
I think the governments job is to serve and protect us, and right now we are being attacked by oil, why isn't it all hands on deck to try and stop it?
But you want them to do this without money and human bodies?
What do you think they should do? Should they just simply drain the Gulf of Mexico then scrub it like a bath tube? After it's drained should they simply find a giant champagne cork to plug the hole?

Idiocy deserves no reply
But I have to.
Do you have any evidence for this idiocy? Does your hate for Obama restrict you from any rational thought?
How could it be so dam hard to stop this leak? They have huge ships that can make man-made islands in Dubai, yet they can't suck up that oil as it comes out until you figure a way to cap it?
Do you understand anything about pressure and cold at a mile deep in the ocean?
I suppose you are still a fan of "drill baby drill". This whole incident shows why we should not be drilling everywhere we can reach. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
ABE
We can put a 2000lb bomb in chimney stack from 60,000ft, but we can't plug up a leaking hose.
No we can't. Our bombs are amazingly precise, but but not nearly this precise.

The conspiracy thing was a sarcastic remark aimed at all those who believe in conspiracy theories, and usually blame it on Bush too.

Let's not start a debate on what my government does with my money. They waste tons and tons of it on many stupid things. Stopping this oil leak is one thing I wouldn't mind them spending my hard earned tax dollars on. You all should feel the same way.

Missed point. Either way we are going to spend money on this. What is better, spend a little or a lot?
What do I want them to do? Do anything, except sit on your black ass in a white house.

Well then what do you expect to be done and what was the purpose of your post.
And do you think Obama is just sitting on his "black ass". Is he supposed to take over BP and direct their efforts.

They aren't even trying to do anything, and standing in the way of those who are trying to do something.
What should they be doing and who is standing in someone's way?
Since when is the United States Government equipped to deal with something like this? Who should they be getting to do it?
blame it on Bush too.
I can find reasons why this is Bush's fault as well as Reagan and Carter. I could list the bills and deregulations that allowed this crap to happen but that would be another topic and not a conspiracy theory.
Missed point. Either way we are going to spend money on this. What is better, spend a little or a lot?
You missed my point. What should they be spending it on? Do you have a clue how to stop it?
what do I want them to do? Do anything, except sit on your black ass in a white house.
Well he's been to the coast twice this week and has had constant meetings with officals and "regulators"....
What do you want him to do? This isn't like Katrina we can mount rescues and provide shelter to people but we've never dealt with anything like this.

Riverrat, I don't know what planet you are living on, but here on Earth, bp is paying for every cent for this disaster. The newest estimate for the pricetag of this spill is between 6 to 30 billion dollars, and pb will be forced to pay every cent of it... and this isn't to mention all the subsequent fines and lawsuits.
bp's stock had the biggest fall in the shortest time in history. They lost a thousand points in 20 minutes. There is no one in the world who wants this disaster to end more than bp's CEO.
So, I don't know what planet you are living on, but they are doing everything humanly possible to end this.
I just talked to my brother, who is an engineer. When I mentioned the fact that there are smartasses like you who think you can do a better job at capping the spill more than all those boys bp has hired, he exploded and started ranting how stupid these smartasses are and the frustrations engineers often face from non-engineers who don't know squat about engineering.
Again, this disaster is literally killing bp and this ensures that this oil giant is doing everything humanly possible to end cap the spill.
So... I don't know why you're blaming comrade Obama for something that his Communist Party isn't even responsible for.
What do I want them to do? Do anything, except sit on your black ass in a white house.
You do realize that Obama has canceled everything from his vacation to his foreign diplomatic trips to the economic reform bill just so he could personally oversee the work being done in the gulf coast to cap the spill, right?
Advice: take foot out of mouth.

In SOcon "Conservative" land and Glen Beck world Fascists and communists are the same thing. Here in reality they're opposites.

I met a tea-bagger IRL last weekend. Two of them had a display up in front of our local post office. They had a couple pictures of Obama with a Hitler mustache. I asked her what her particular correlation between the two was. She said that "Obama did the bailout thing. He is a corporatavist (her word) and kinda mussolini." This is almost a direct quote, shit English and all. When pressed, she told me I wasn't interested in hearing what she had to say (even though I took my time to walk up to her and ask questions). I started asking more, and she just kept saying "ok, have a nice day, have a nice day". It was fun.
Edit: I'm sorry for maybe swaying it off topic.
lmao. This topic is for shit anyways. I doubt we have to worry about swaying it off topic. Match crazy with crazy, right?

Tea baggers are racists who have found a way to express their racist thoughts in a more politically correct lighting by thinly veiling their agenda with political bullshit.
Their loudest bullshit nowadays is that Obama is taking away our rights. I know of no rights that have been taking away. Can anyone at all point out to me what rights I have lost?
Right now, tea baggers serve a good purpose in my book by syphoning off some votes from the republican party just like the way the green party screwed us over. I jut hope that those clowns won't get anymore powerful than this.
