To be a non-racist he would have to agree that all humans are the same, which they are Homo sapiens
Really?!
Surely women have certain characteristics that are generally very different to characteristics of men.
I agree that you should be careful about generalising and be open-minded to the fact that specific individuals may not follow all the general characteristics of their gender, but nevertheless women brought up in a specific environment will be likely to possess characteristics that are very different from men brought up in the same environment.
This is very different to ethnicity, where you should not expect people of different races to be inherently different if they are brought up within the same environment (except, of course, where they may be affected by racial attitudes etc within that environment).
