I can understand why none of these gems made it into the humor thread, the more troubling question is why you felt the need to post them anywhere.

Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them; and no man ever had a distinct idea of the trinity. It is the mere Abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus. -- Thomas Jefferson
For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -- and non-believers. -- Barack Obama
We see monsters where science shows us windmills. -- Phat
It has always struck me as odd that fundies devote so much time and effort into trying to find a naturalistic explanation for their mythical flood, while looking for magical explanations for things that actually happened. -- Dr. Adequate

Oh c'mon, I thought everyone knew this story. Obviously you don't understand Chuck Norris at all.
This isn't Chuck losing a fight, this is Chuck inventing the Make A Wish Foundation and giving Bruce the most convincing "dive" in any fight. Ever.
Chuck Norris doesn't give flowers to the sick, he knows the future, reads minds and grants last wishes.

Re: Whoo!!
Well, he is still around and Bruce isn't. Coincidence, or....?

Crop circles are Chuck Norris' way of telling the world that sometimes corn needs to lie down.

John Constantine
Hi Larni (sorry for the delay)
The way I see it Constantine is a bit of a douche; how does Ennis portray him?
Well... as a bit of a douche, to be fair. But a different kind of douche. The wrong kind
I felt that the Ennis just lacked the subtlety of previous incarnations. Suddenly Constantine was getting tanked on Guinness and bumming around Ireland whining about his love life. The whole run was too stuck in Christian mythology as well; when it comes to comparative mythology, Christianity is dull, oh so dull. It just lacked the flair of Moore, Gaiman or Delano. Much better versions of the character can be found in his original appearances in Swamp Thing or in Gaiman's Books of Magic.
Of course Your Mileage May Vary. The Ennis issues are seen by most people as being the defining run of Hellblazer. I just find Ennis to be dull and repetitive. It's like someone said to him "Write what you know!", but it never occurred to him that he might try and know more than one thing.

Re: Punisher
When Chuck Norris does press ups he is in fact pushing the planet down.
Isn't that true of everyone? Newton's Third Law and all that.
---
There's no such thing as evolution. There's just a list of animals that Chuck Norris allows to live.

Proof Supes is a racist
This has got to be proof that Spider-man is better than Superman.

I personally consider Superman the ultimate Mary Sue. While I might like some of his adventures, I really can't identify with him.
The two characters I identify with the most come from Marvel, are Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk.
What it really comes down to when discussing comic book characters is which characters you can identify with the most. Other stories might be fun to read about, but it's what you see in the characters that gives them strength.
