I'm sure Odin would be pleased.

Have you ever been to an American wedding? Where's the vodka? Where's the marinated herring?!

I'm fairly certain the mighty Odin would be furious to have retards like Huckabee pandering to him and throwing his name about.

It's old news though.

Old or not, it's still messed up... Especially since it is rather obvious that he would have it that the middle east constructing laws around the Qur'an and Hadith is insane.

Of course it is. And it is made worse by the current expected GOP POTUS candidate whom also thinks this way. I've been thinking lately that we seem to be at a teetering point where either reason will prevail or ignorance will take over, that now seems to be the time where that decision will be made soon given the state of some of the education systems (LA, TX, for example). These types of individuals are in a position to bastardize the constitution in accordance with their fairy-tales.

Re: What Might Jesus Say?
Jesus might share some concerns aired here.
When asked if it was lawful to pay tribute to Caesar, he said:
..... Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
(ASV)
Though we want to keep defending the religious exercise clause of the Bill Of Rights, we don't want to go down the old tyrannical road that leads to mandating religion by law.
Perhaps Huckabee's concern is activist judges who are, in effect, abrogating the exercise clause. I'm not savvy on the particulars of what his concerns are in this regard.

Re: evolutionwanderer's off-topic message from elsewhere
Well, Huckabee simply lied about what the question was. The question was about evolution, not about whether there's a God.
What is it about the video that's been eating at you? Politicians are often shifty, evasive, and dishonest.

Why did your friend refer you to that video? What point was he trying to make?
The way Huckabee responded to the question, God could have used evolution for all he knew or cared, even though it appeared towards the end that he thought that evolution requires no God, which is not true. And he did duck the question of whether he's a young-earth creationist.
You need to go back to that friend and ask him why he referred you to that video and what point he was trying to make.

Violation Rule #5
Rule 5: Bare links with no supporting discussion should be avoided. Make the argument in your own words and use links as supporting references.
A video with no argument is a bare link.
Please provide an argument to set the topic of the thread and change the title to reflect that topic. No profanity in the title please.
Thanks

Re: Violation Rule #5
1: This post is 2 years old.
2: It's in the coffee house department.
3: It was never intended for debate, hence the inflammatory title (which no one made a fuss about when I posted it 2 YEARS AGO).
