Re: Arabia/Midian Evidence
No golden calf was found that I'm aware of. What was found were these inscrptions at an alter site at the foot of Mt. Jabal el Lawz, the real Mt Sinai where it should be, Midian in Arabia. These inscriptions depict the golden calf.
Have you ever looked at a map of Southwest Asia? To get to Arabia, crossing the Red Sea and its closest point not going over Sinai, is ~100 miles. Otherwise to get to Arabia they would have had to cross the "Promised Land" or crossed the other arm of the sea and nowhere in Exodus does it state that.

Re: Arabia/Midian Evidence
Today, the former territory of Midian is located in western Saudi Arabia, southern Jordan, southern Israel, and the Egyptian Sinai peninsula.
This is the last part of your reference (emphasis mine).
When the Israelites reached Sinai, they were in Midian.

Re: Arabia/Midian Evidence
Are you keeping up, Paul? The land of Midian waswhere Moses encountered his father-in-law, Jethro who was a Midianite after he crossed the Red Sea.
Which could still be the Sinai Peninsula, since the Sinai peninsula was part of Midian. Why would Pharoah's army chase them into the Sinai? It makes more sense that they were trapped on the west arm of the Red Sea rather than the East arm, since the area would still be in Egypt not Midian.

Re: Far Fetched Poop Holes
Over the millenia, erosion etc would have left no trace.
So what about the 2,000,000 sets of bones, since the wandering was do the the people not following the leaders had to wander for 40 until all that generation was deceased save for Joshua & Caleb?
Erosion will not destroy bones, in an arid climate in 4000 or so years.

Re: Corroborating Crossing Evidence.
he ones at Nuweiba. The ones in the midst of the corroborating evidence, that secularist marine scientists are reticent to research and falsify, concerned that they will confirm them to be valid.
What are they going to confirm, that they are wheels? Even if they are chariot wheels, from the period in question, all it would prove is that a chariot was there not who was driving it or why? What is there to falsify?

Re: Corroborating Crossing Evidence.
Bluescat, did you read the title of the message to which you responded. See that word corroborate? That means there's other evidence supportive to the Exodus relating the wheels in the sea.
Which has been shown in this thread and a previous thread that it isn't corroborating, mostly speculation.

Re: Reviewing The Evidence
Give me some time and we'll revisit some of that evidence with particular pertinent points, corroborating the wheel & axel forms to be indeed chariot wheels of the Biblical Exodus.
Even if theses wheels are Egyptian Chariot wheels, even dated to the period of the alleged Exodus, there would be no way of proving that this particular wheel was on a particular chariot chasing Israel.

Re: Wyatt Only The Pioneer Explorer
Some of the dates have been questioned and debated due to the tendency of Pharaohs to skew the dates and obliterate info which might damage their own reputation. It also behooved Egypt to conceal, as much as possible, the devastation of Egypt's defense military so as not to embolden enemy nations to attack.
It might have helped if the compiler of Exodus had been nice enough to name the Pharoah.

Re: Reviewing The Evidence
Though Mohammed gleaned distorted doctrines that suited his concocted up scripture, he never acknowledged the Biblical god, Jehovah.
Jehovah is not the Biblical god, not as Jehovah which is nothing but an English corruption of the German spelling of the Hebrew YHWH.
The German spelling is Jahveh
Nor did he ever acknowledge Jehovah's favor-ability to Jacob and his 12 tribe sons who became the patriarchs of Israel over Esau, the son of Abraham's handmade, Hagar, from whom Israel's enemies descended.
Esau was Isaac's son and twin bother of Jacob, later called Israel. Hagar was Ismael's mother. And you claim to be a Bible Scholar?

Re: where's the wheel?
One point, even if it is a wheel, why would it show that it was from a chariot from Pharoah's Army? It could have easily belonged to someone else's chariot, that came off and the driver, so incensed, threw the thing in the sea.

Re: Taking Chariots down the wall of the Grand Canyon
Isn't the severe drop off in depth at the end of the delta unusual for deltas?
What delta? Nuweiba is nowhere near a delta.

Re: Evidence
Take off the dark glasses and look objectively.
It is very hard to be objective about a subjective topic, particularly when you are making the claims and not giving supporting evidence to your claims, but simply refuting the claims against it. Your point has to stand on your evidence, not refuting evidence to the contrary.

Re: Artifact Evidence, Etc
This is the verses that refer to who goes to the "Promised land"
KJV Numbers writes:
32:10 And the LORD'S anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,
11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
12 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.
13 And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
