Re: The appliance of Science
Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao. They all led rabidly atheistic regiemes and they killed many more people in a few short years than religion has done in total since the dawn of time
Hitler was anything but an atheist. He soundly denounced the "godless movement" in February 1933. His ideas of aryan supremacy had strong religious overtones and undertones.
I do not see that the fact that communists were atheist has any direct relationship to their brutality.
I dont want to get into a numbers game with you, because actual statistics will be tough to verify.
But have you forgotten about.
1)Crusades
2)Islamic expansion
3)All european wars from fall of Roman Empire until the 17th century
4)Conquest of the Americas
5)Sub-saharan africa
a)slave trade
b)disruption of culture brought by christain missionaries
I could go on and on but these should be enough to make my point.

Re: The appliance of Science
Did you read Rahvins's post of quotes from Mein Kampf.
Like, point out what man does in the name of God has to do with God.
Going with the same argument. Point out what a person does without the name of god has to do with not having a god. You can't have it both ways.
