The sad thing is, neither one has directly addressed the underlying assumption: That the pieces have any connection to the box. Blue doesn't directly state it, he only comments that the pieces were found "next to" the box, but he never explicitly states the possibility that perhaps, just perhaps, Pink should abandon the premise that the two are connected.
On the blog where this originally appeared, there was a huge hue and cry about the fact that the stubborn bunny who refused to put the puzzle together and accept that it wasn't a picture of a duck was female. (*sigh*) Gonna have to go with Myers on this one:
