Maybe when you lose your hyper-aggressive stance to the disadvantaged and slow down the self-advancement of the hyper rich, the US people will achieve their stated ambition to be happy.

And it is not just Heinlein, the writer of fiction who has put forth this idea:

Though Tytler was not a fan of democracy I do not think there are any quotes from him that support this claim.
Please provide some support for the claim he put forth the idea of "bread and circuses".
