Wow, looks like Catlick Scientist has found himself some new graphics. How wonderful.

So you never know what's going to resonate with somebody
You know, I was going to say something like that, only my way was more lame.

If you prick me, do I not bleed? If you post garbage, do I not laugh at you in the privacy of my own home, then flip over to Youtube?

One thing to remember is to don your thick skin and asbesdos gloves (full body suit, sometimes).
It's a fair but firm place, here. If one makes an assertion one will get called out on it.
Woe unto the unsupported assertion.

And vice versa
People will jump all over you when you call them out on their unsupported assertions, also. Those are the people you know are full of shit and just posting crap they heard or read somewhere.
Thick skin helps a lot.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

I find that it helps a great deal to remember that, if you're proven wrong, all you lose is an inaccurate belief, and you become stronger.
And if you're right, then you get the pleasure of smacking down an idiot. Or gently correcting the mistaken. Either way, fun.
Participation is a win/win situation.

Checking Out The Other Side
nlerd writes:
I really find most every thread to be interesting as hell and read most of the ones I start all the way through. But I haven't really contributed much because I find all the knowledge here to be somewhat daunting. And I'm not just talking about scientific or biblical knowledge, I'd never heard the terms "ad hoc" or "strawman" before coming to this forum. I am still somewhat unclear on ad hoc even after looking it up.
I mean I have no problems with being wrong but if I'm not adding anything thats worthwhile to the conversation I may as well just sit on the sidelines.
Hi Nlerd. Welcome to EvC. Nice to have you lurking. By all means, don't miss the Exodus thread for variety.
