Re: Does it exist?
Your ignorance of how science works amazes me.
If there is no Higgs Boson found it mean they got the maths wrong and need to go back and check their figures.
But how could they know to do that without performing experiments to try to find it?
Can't you even see that?
Or are you so invested in rubbishing people you don't know that your knee jerk reaction to any one with a PhD is negative?

Re: Does it exist?
Well I do beg your pardon, I'm sure.
My understanding was that the Higgs Boson was predicted from a mathematical model.
While I am very happy to be corrected I do hope you aren't lumping me in with the ignorant idiots that mock from the sidelines.

Re: Does it exist?
If there is a problem it is far more likely to be in the assumptions underlying the model, not in the mathematics.
I see the distinction; my bad.
So, if they don't find the Higgs Boson they need to go back and check their assumptions?

Re: Does it exist?
Well, if you have to ask...
Wasn't a question, it was a statement

Re: CERN Report
I confidently expected to be living on tha moon and driving a fly car by the year 2000. At least we should have all been wearing silver jump suits.
Bah. You can't trust that fancy book learning.

The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.

Moreover that view is a blatantly anti-relativistic one. I'm rather inclined to think that space being relative to time and time relative to location should make such a naive hankering to pin-point an ultimate origin of anything, an aspiration that is not even wrong.
Well, Larni, let's say I much better know what I don't want to say than how exactly say what I do.
