I'm fairly conservative and I don't want any of those people to be president. I'd be fine with 4 more years of Uncle Barry...

I give Ron Paul 1 chance in a million of getting the Republican nomination... "So you're telling me there's a chance"

What do you guys think about Gary Johnson?

Doesn't stand a chance in the (R) primaries. Who do you thinks gonna win that? Anyways, that doesn't mean he can't be president... or does it?
He's not quite crazy enough for the conservative base. Well, that's a good thing. But Democrats could vote for him too, couldn't they? I hate our voting system and usually don't get involved, so I don't really know anything about it. But, it seems that you think that if he doesn't win the Republican primary then there's no way he could be president. You're probably right, and that's a shame... I guess I'll just abstain. ABE:

From what I understand from your voting system, it does. First you win the primaries, which basically makes you that party's nominee to run for president, meaning it's basically the party saying: "this is our guy, if you're a republican, vote for this guy". So, if you don't win the primaries, you'll not be able to run for that party. Sure, you could run as an independent, I guess, but they haven't got a hope in hell of winning your presidential elections. I think you're right... and that sucks. Fuck voting.

I've no idea. Not even a guess? Maybe that Mitt guy?
I don't know that the voting system in paticular is flawed, ...
A LOT of people vote based on whether they see a (D) or an (R) in front of the name and could give two fucks what he ACTUALLY stands for.
Something's flawed...
like voting machines that are knowingly hackable and knowingly skew results Is that really all that prevalent?
the fact that candidates can accept money from corporations in whatever amount they wish, How do you stop people from giving money to people?
and that we are effectively limited to two parties (who are essentially the same). Yup, that's pretty lame. More flaw.
I highly doubt we would have an entire party who's SOLE goal is to get corporations and the uber wealthy as much money as possible and fuck everyone else. So are both party's essentially the same or not?
It's a line from Home Improvement.

Every day someone is "out" and a new someone is popular. I haven't been paying attention
The Republican presidential candidacy is a fucking high school popularity contest. I stake no claim in even guessing which of the morons will be crowned homecoming king/queen. According to a coupla polls from a quick Google search, it looks like its gonna be either Romney or Cain.
Maybe that Mitt guy? Nope. He's mormon. The only people that like mormons live in Utah. He's at the top of these two polls sites: realclearpolitics.com 2012 - POLITICO.com
The fact that it happens AT ALL is too much. Nah, a 1 ppm problem would be negligible.
You don't. However, corporations are not people. For one, corporations can be considered persons in some cases. But even if not in this case, couldn't Corp. A just give money to Bob, and then have Bob donate it?
When it comes down to the actual running of government, yes. I find that hard to believe.

Say what?? If you could prefer 4 more years of Barry to any of the Republicans, you can't possibly be fairly conservative. You're either ultra-liberal or clueless. Wierd, you made a claim and then immediately contradicted yourself. Perhaps I am fairly conservative and clueless. But more likely, I'm just apathetic. Being conservatiev doen't mean you have to hate Obama and vehemently oppose everything he says. I can be conservative and just not give a shit and be fine with Obama. But I'm not very conservative, just fairly conservative.
Had the Republicans not taken the House, we all would've been taken for what we have left by the end of Barry's term. I haven't really noticed him doing much of anything. I haven't noticed any changes at all to my day-to-day life. I see no reason to think that I would have or will.
If he prevails for another term, we'll all end up poor and oppressed by Comrade Barry's totalitarian regime of lefty un-elected czars and civilian Red Guard type knee breaking thug army. I doubt it, why would I think that will happen? But I guess we'll see, because he's probably gonna win. And when the above doesn't happen, then what?

I changed my mind. I can't vote fore Barry. Oh, I'm not gonna vote for him. I was just saying that I'd be fine with him being president again. Its no big deal.
You live in Illinois, who was the last good politician that came out of the Crony Chicago Democrat Machine? I don't pay attention close enough to even name any of them.

Perhaps it's time for yet another "irony" v. "sarcasm" discussion Please no... these internets are littered with those discussions. Enough to last another hundred years, so no, its not time yet. And words are defined by how people use them...

And words are defined by how people use them...
Even if they are blatantly wrong? Yes.
"I'm bad, I'm bad, you know it..." What's the definition of "bad" in the context of this song? Isn't it blatantly wrong? Like, the opposite of what it means? How isn't the word defined by how it is used? "Having 1000 spoons, when all you need is a knife. Isn't it ironic?" Technically, no... but we know what she means. And what she means is what the definition of that word becomes. She can still be wrong tho, but then, so was Michael Jackson. But so what? Being wrong doesn't change the definition as they're using it. Why do christians keep repeating this claim that we have freedom of religion not freedom from religion? What do you think they mean by "freedom from religion"? Do they mean that there wouldn't be allowed to be any religious billboards, or something?
I mean, is there some kind of mental block I'm not aware of? Why can't christians understand that in order to have true freedom of religion everyone must have the freedom from religion so that no one religion can take over the country. What do you mean by "freedom from religion"? I don't see how congress being unable to establish a religion means that you are free from religion in general. Just because congress can't establish a religion doesn't mean that Jehovah's Witnesses can't come knocking on my door... but I don't think that's what you're talking about. Too, I don't what you're talking about is what they are talking about.
