That's a winning arguement to be a liberal. Then there's also a dark side.

After resigning en masse, Bachmann's New Hampshire campaign team explain why. Apparently they found the national campaign tema to be "rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and at times cruel."
Who'd have thought that people like that would work for Michele Bachmann? Dishonest, you say? I'm staggered. And cruel? Golly, imagine a group of teabaggers behaving in a hateful way. It boggles the imagination.

I am disappoint.
I expected Bachmann's campaign to give comedy on a level similar to Sarah Palin. For a while it was there, but now all the focus is on Cain and Perry, and neither are as hilariously wrong as Bachmann.
I mean, they're both still wrong, and often, but for some reason it's not as funny.

(Guess Who) Thinks GOP Too Extreme
quote:
You know how far right the Republican presidential candidates have gone? So far that (guess who) is telling them they need to come back to reality. Seriously.
quote:
I believe it was Lyndon Johnson that said, ‘Don’t these people realize if they push me over to an extreme position I’ll lose the election? And I’m the one who will be supporting what they want but they’re going to make it so I can’t win.’ Those people in the Republican primary have got to lay off of this stuff. They’re forcing their leaders, the frontrunners, into positions that will mean they lose the general election. Now whether this did it to Cain I don’t know, but nevertheless, you appeal to the narrow base and they’ll applaud the daylights out of what you’re saying and then you hit the general election and they say ‘no way’ and then the Democrat, whoever it is, is going to just play these statements to the hilt. They’ve got to stop this! It’s just so counterproductive!

He Carried Yellow Flowers
Herman Cain has made the oddest political campaign add ever. Yes, even odder than That Crazy Guy Who Just Shouts At The Camera, because at least you have some idea of why he was doing it.
In fact, it may be the oddest thing ever. Its only real competition probably lives at the bottom of the Mariana Trench and is well-endowed in the tentacle department.

I think Cain is saying that because Jesus was a community organizer and read from scripture, that therefore he was a nobody. I suppose we should take it an implied argument for atheism.

Herman Cain
You think I'm picking on him? Do you know how many Herman Cain stories I haven't posted? Like all the ones about sexual harassment, I figured I'd wait for the other shoe to drop.
But I can't pass this one up. Herman Cain on China:
They’ve indicated that they’re trying to develop nuclear capability and they want to develop more aircraft carriers like we have. So yes, we have to consider them a military threat.
Really, China is trying to develop nuclear capability? Fortunately the guy who knows where "Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan" is can keep us up to date on this breaking news.

Talk about a double standard!
Didn't we hear a lot of "it's just about sex" during the late 1990s? After stories of real indiscretions deftly handled by a large "bimbo eruptions" team whose main task seems to have been to slander the girls who came forward? But for a democrat, it was acceptable! No problem, he's on our side so we can ignore anything we have to.
This isn't even about sex, just that nebulous PC "sexual harassment" nonsense which can be as innocuous as "Gee, you look nice today." What a joke.
Guess the democrats are getting a bit nervous about 2012, eh?
We now have a serious Black presidential candidate who is conservative and who has left the democrat plantation, but we can't have that! The rest of the folks there might get ideas.

Er ... talk about the opposite of a double standard?
I have often (any time anyone asked) called Bill Clinton an adulterer and a liar and said that his actions were disgraceful.
Whereas, as I pointed out, and as you can see, my one allusion to Herman Cain's well-known, widely-publicized "bimbo eruption" was to say that I'm not even going to talk about it right now. And I'm still not going to. I've let the whole thing pass and talked about his inexpertise in foreign policy. The very nastiest thing I've done is to mention in passing that the story exists, something that we all know.

Re: Herman Cain
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-15520186
quote:
Mr Cain told Fox News: "I've never sexually harassed anyone."
Seems clear cut. He never sexually harassed anyone.
quote:
"And yes, I was falsely accused while I was at the National Restaurant Association, and I say falsely because it turned out after the investigation to be baseless."
But he doesn't say falsely because it is false? He needed an investigation before he could know if it was false? Well - since the investigation proved him innocent - I expect there were no settlements paid out.
quote:
"If there was a settlement, it was handled by some of the other officers at the restaurant association," he said.
Fair enough - he has no knowledge of any settlement being made.
quote:
Later, he told PBS: "I was aware an agreement was reached. The word 'settlement' versus the word 'agreement' you know, I'm not sure what they called it."
Hmmm....has Bush Jr. blacked up as a way to get around the 22nd Amendment?
Seriously - a CEO who gets confused by the words 'settlement' and 'agreement'?
