Browser: Chromium (Chrome for all intents and purposes) OS: Ubuntu 11.04 Bug: Whenever I try to rate a message, the rating bubbles flash for a second, then disappear. When I refresh the page, the message has not been rated. {abe} After a cursory look, it appears that the message rating took, but not in the database. The bubbles reappear and the selected one is filled in, but the message isn't actually rated. Edited by hooah212002, : No reason given.

Well, what does nwr's Message 26 (the one right before my bug report) look like to everyone else? Does it have a rating? {abe} The same is happening using Opera (Ubuntu as well) Edited by hooah212002, : No reason given.

When I get back home, I'll try a few other browsers (Konqueror, Epiphany). I've updated my Java and even installed Ajax Dev tools.......and I couldn't even begin to write code!

If anyone has battery backup recommendations, now is the time. Is "fuck Best Buy" an acceptable recommendation? Because seriously, fuck Best Buy. If you can, overnight a UPS from Newegg. And I doubt your PC actually sucks 750 watts. You may have a 750w PSU, but unlikely you are actually pulling that much...unless you have a RAID15 with quad SLI. {abe} and like a 4 chip motherboard. I would need the exact specs: CPU, Video card, Hard Drive/SSD, amount/brand/type of RAM, Motherboard and PSU make/model. I build beastly machines and unless you have dual high end video card cards (SLI or Crossfire), it is highly unlikely you would need more than a ~500W PSU, not that you are even pulling that much wattage. If you have a link to your rig (Dell website perhaps), that would be helpful. {abe} Similarly, you could install something akin to the Kill-A-Watt to measure how much wattage your PC (or any other device plugged into it) is actually using. {abe #2} Give this one a shot. Well, the Best Buy comment was just a personal aside. I've just noticed them to be VERY overpriced and there customer service is for shit. If you have a Microcenter near by, or a a CompUSA (because they were bought by TigerDirect and give Internet prices in store), I would definitely recommend them over anywhere. Having said that, I sometimes never follow my own advice and end up buying stuff at the store because I am impatient and can't stand waiting for stuff to ship. Glad to hear you got the necessary equipment and solved your problem.

The same happens at home (Ubuntu 11.04 using both Chromium and Opera) and work (XP with IE 8). It is most likely the coding on that one particular message.
