Hi Taz. Thank God, you're alive! What an ordeal! I am not a doctor but wifie doctored our two boys all of their home lives. We've doctored ourselves for 50 years. We don't have a doctor and haven't needed one except for her pregnancy and a boy's broken bone once.
We do the diet, herbs, minerals, poultices, etc wholistic natural way. The science on it has increased big time in the last decades. I'll tell you what I'd do if I were in your miserable shoes. The first thing is diet. For healing you want a slightly alkaline s showing in your urine. We use strips we get to test ourselves. For healing holistically (whole body) we avoid all pastries except frozen sprouted whole grain bread which has little gluten. They must keep it frozen to keep it nutritious and from spoiling. For healing, lots of raw salads with greens in it like cilantro, etc using no cheesy dressing and not a lot of dressing. She makes it using some cider vinegar and herbs etc. Not too much vinegar. No cheeses or dairy products except maybe a little swiss cheese on occasion and organic plain low fat yogurt with no sweetener or fruits etc in it. Fish is good and some poultry but avoid red meats and pork etc. No prepared meats like lunch meat, ham, sausage etc. Avocado is a good protein. Some fruit like blueberries, mangoes banana, oranges ok but these have quite a lot of sugar so not too much fruit. Melon not eaten with meals is a good detoxified. Believe it or not, honey is a good healer applied to open sores. Bacteria can't survive in it. We have a comfrey patch (the herb the FDA outlawed over the counter because some idiot consumed too much root and croaked. We use the leaves which we dry. I pack them beside any tooth that bothers and they draw infections out as a poultice. Comfrey is very healing as a poultice etc. We use it as a tea also. Taz, all I'm telling you is what works for us. I'm no way claiming it's going to cure anything. I know you're not churchy, but on Sabbath our church class will be praying for your healing. Here's how that worked for me. When in the Air Force I hitch hiked a lot. I wasn't very healthy. I was to hitch hike from NY state to Wyoming to see the family on one occasion. Though my church there didn't practice it, having read James 5 where it says if any are sick, call the elders of the church to anoint with oil and pray. They prayer of faith will heal the sick, according to James. I had a bad persistent cough for weeks so one Sunday evening at church I asked the elders to do this for me. I had been coughing persistently that evening. They did it before the service. I went back to my seat and never coughed once the rest of the evening or thereafter, even hitching all the way to Wyoming. It's never come back. I've said that to say that God is not stupid. He knows that if he heals and the sick keep on eating the same, etc the sickness will come back. God began showing me via a friend how to change my diet and add some supplements, etc to keep well. That was in the 1950s when the technology on wholistic was nothing like what it has become today. So Taz, I hope some of this may help your awful dilemma. There's a lot on the www about this stuff. I suggest you begin researching for yourself and learning all you can about how to fix your body. Americans put the best stuff in the autos, etc and the worst in their bodies. We are the richest but, alas, one of the sickest cultures globally. I believe that if you put your mind to it, you can overcome this thing and regain your health, in spite of your genes etc. Our prayers a with you and God helps those who do the best to help themselves. God bless. Buz BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. The Immeasurable Present Eternally Extends the Infinite Past And Infinitely Consumes The Eternal Future.

There are a lot of immune system supplements which you should be taking like pro-biotics. Check them out on the www.

Apparently the wholistic approach would work to
correct/strengthen a dysfunctional immune system by correcting a systemic imbalance of the system at large. (I see my link hones in on the home page rather than the article. quote: The problem with the conventional drug approach which targets the symptom rather than the whole system is that agents which have bad side effects leave the system holistically weaker as is the case with so many prescribed treatments. About all it does is to buy you some time (albeit in misery) before you croak. Isn't the logic of real science wonderful? BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. Taz writes: I understand where buz is coming from. I really do. I have relatives who refuse to believe that I have is a "real" condition. After all, they don't have it. They think I have too much poison in my body and I just need cleansing. The problem with rare conditions is most people don't understand or are unwilling to believe its a real condition. Whatever gave you he notion that I don't think you have a real condition? There are wholistic cancer regimes, mostly outlawed in the US which effectively treat real conditions; some of the deadliest like terminal cancer. Regarding cancer, the regime must be applied before the liver has tanked. Way back in the 1970s a man named Max Gerson was effectively treating terminal cancer patients by flushing the system with raw carrot juice and liver extract supplement, etc. I have a newspaper investigative reporter's book, Has Dr. Max Gerson A True Cancer Cure.. The reporter set out to expose Gerson as a quack and ended up writing his book which summed up by saying (1) that the American Cancer Society and the AMA found it more profitable to look for cures than to find them and (2) that these organizations did not want to admit that Gerson's simplistic regime could do what their millions extracted from the sheeple for conventional methods failed to do. The reason Gerson ended up treating terminal patients is that they would come to him as a last resort after the conventional methods failed. He and other wholistic docs in the US have been banned from treating patients, due to the power of the drug cartels in bed with the FDA, all about $$$ and power. In recent years I've developed the symptoms of skin lymphoma on my face and ears. I've been dealing with it solely holistically via a fairly strict diet regime, applications of a non-drug product called Perrin's Blend, a solution of aloe vera juice and vitamin E oil which I mix, comfrey poultices, etc. It's taken some time, but my face is nearly healed up. It appears to have been isolated to the skin lymph nodes, likely by sun exposure rather than systemic from other organs, indicative that the sun had a lot to do with it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. Dr Adequate writes: Well, actually, because he took people's money and killed them with no evidence whatsoever that his treatment was good for anything. What is your evidence for this claim? What in the reporter's book can you rebut with evidence? I see there's an operating Gerson Institute in San Diego. Perhaps you have info to apprise us on how they keep practicing if they are filching and killing the sheeple, using the Gerson methodology, as you allege. Taz writes: This is why this time around I've opted for the easiest option they gave me, which is to sit on my ass and do nothing hoping it would just die down on its own. If, during your rest, you get mild exercise and try some diet adjustments, your rest time may be more effective. It would be interesting and possibly helpful for you to write on a tablet every little thing that goes into your mouth from the time you rise to the time you retire, noting the times of each. If you smoke including pot anything or apply anything to the skin, etc note that as well. Do this daily, noting how you fared at the end of the day for each day. BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. It's interesting that you appeal to what "scientists believe" in one breath and in the very next you deride medical science. What I derided was the illogics of conventional drug treatment with all of it's adversities.
Your holistic woo may have worked just fine for your family, but the plural of "anecdote" is not "data." Exercising, eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, avoiding stress, and taking vitamins is good advice even for healthy individuals. But it's not enough when you have a real medical problem. But reality is that a strict regimen of doing the above with some knowledge of how to do it has worked for my family and others who apply it effectively. Novices should seek advice.
Taz's medical issue is a heritable genetic disorder, not something that he can solve just by cutting out the junk food. That's not all I advocated. It's one aspect of an effective holistic regime. I believe you, Taz, especially considerig your law enforcement role. Most people don't believe me when I say this, but I've never actually tried pot before. I've no interest to. When I became a cop, one of the questions they had for me was if I ever tried pot. I said no. Not surprisingly, they didn't believe me. I really really wanted to say to them to "suck it" after my polygraph exam. I guess in their eyes I either never really tried pot before (not once) or I was a good enough liar to fool the polygraph examiner. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So the factual content of my message stands unrefuted. All I get is your substance-less blind assertion.
