on a computer!?!
why not play something cool with graphics, and a firm tactical rules set, maybe an RTS, heck even a FPS?
chess on the computer is about as much fun as solitaire and minesweeper; its a much better game in person.

I'm pretty sure sweeping mines is way less better in person

I just joined as caffeine-evc, because I'm not very imaginative. Who should I be challenging?
On the tournament at FA, we came up with a points system that I kind of liked.
Everyone plays everyone else once. Points are awarded for wins, draws, and losses.
Highest point holder wins the tournament.
I like +1 win, 0 draw, -1 loss.
What do y'all think of that?
Edited by Jon, : No reason given.

Over here!
If everyone plays everyone, you could challenge me. Toss a coin to choose colors or whatever.
The other day, my wife and I were cruising along, sipping espresso and singing with Eric Clapton on the radio, giggling and substituting "Caffeine" every time he reached the refrain, "Cocaine."
Maybe we had too many cups that day; maybe it was an omen.

Re: In
I just started the game, sorry I was slow, been crazy here the last few days. Your going to win anyway because...
quote:
The first-move advantage in chess is the inherent advantage of the player (called White) who makes the first move in chess. Chess players and theorists generally agree that White begins the game with some advantage. Statistics compiled since 1851 support this view, showing that White consistently wins slightly more often than Black, usually scoring between 52 and 56 percent.
Just kidding.
Good luck

Done! The website has a 'play as random colour' option, so it's you to open.
I seem to remember getting schooled by you last time we had a chess tournament. Some focus is called for. I'm quite happy to lose, but I'm not losing my queen to some simple trick this time!

Omni's quite the clever player. I've been forked by his knight in our single game more than I've ever forked anyone in all my playing!
