I've had my 360 lock up on update once in three years. My laptop? Locks up when I open Word too soon after booting.
Also, playing SSF IV and MvC 3 on PC is balls. And, god forgive me but I've finally got used to dual stick control for fps games. The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.

sure with the current gen (and future generations) of game consoles there are OS updates and updates for the games but they're generally foolproof, Ahem:
no searching for beta releases of drivers or rolling back to different driver versions. I've never had to do that... The only problems I've ever had were because of the software companies, like EA and Funcom throwing some shitty products out there. I just can't wait for the fun I'm gonna have with Origin for BF3
Turn on the console, let the system update itself and then go. I use an Xbox so i don't know how you PS3 users fare but I haven't had the slightest trouble with system/game updates. I feel ya... Some games, though, you really need a mouse and keyboard (I realize they're available for consols too but mine's hooked up to my TV and I can't really use a M&K on the couch). Granted, some games are better with joysticks. It just depends on who and where... but I just build a fucking awesome PC and I'm just loving it. Have you used Steam?

yes there is the RROD, I have yet to have it happen to me, but my brother is on his second xbox and I've heard tell of people on the 7th. And the PS3 has had issues as well I've heard. I'm not trying to claim the console is superior, just saying that the vast majority of games I buy will be on the xbox cause I'm fed up with PC gaming.

And the PS3 has had issues as well I've heard. What with the whole SOE server hacking, n'all?

Yes Great benefit for having a PC, no? There's some really great deals on there too! I love it.

Lemme see what I have on my account... TF2, Left 4 Dead (the first one), Borderlands, some old shit. I'm not especially good at any of these.

I played the he'll out of Borderlands, great game. Lately I are be mostly playing Red Dead Redemption.

If you're lucky enough to have the 4.3.3 software version, don't update. If you do, you can't jailbreak it anymore for a while.

Just fired the thing up after syncing it with my iPhone and I see it is .5......
Guess I'll have to wait. But that said, I'm very happy with it so far....The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. I'm with you there. I finally got bored of the PC rat race, bought a 360 and have not missed anything about fiddling with options to get Oblivion or Crysis to do little more than stutter like a.....low frame rate PC game.
Easy mode made for parents to buy a platform for their kids.
ditto. it's quite nice to come home with a game and be playing it within 5 minutes of opening the box instead of spending time tweaking settings and updating drivers.
A fan of child’s play? It’s even nicer to purchase the game from home, and download it in minutes, and not have to mess with hardware like disk drives, or even disks. yes there is the RROD, I have yet to have it happen to me, but my brother is on his second xbox and I've heard tell of people on the 7th. And the PS3 has had issues as well I've heard. I gave up on Xbox360 after my 3rd one broke itself. I have had much better luck with PS3.

Have you used Steam? I love steam. I like how I don’t have to hold onto a pile of disks to run a game, I like how there is no fee (like xbox live), I like how I get multiple licenses so I can have the game I purchased on multiple PCs and I do not have to buy it each and every time. Steam is the best so far.
I just can't wait for the fun I'm gonna have with Origin for BF3 Me too. All hollowed are the Ori.
Consoles have their benefits, and then PC's have their reasons for being superior Consoles are cheaper easier plug n play devices, they are designed for the low end user, usually children or the parents of said children to buy them a game playing device, that requires no intelligence to operate, and thus offers no options. If you modify your Xbox360 they (the Xbox powers that be) will ban you from using their Xbox Live service (a service that you have to pay for). PCs are just more powerful, take more work, and more thinking to get them to function. They are a hell of a lot more user friendly than they were 15 years ago, and are not hard to use, but they are not for the lazy. The PC gaming community is well superior. Nothing like playing Black Ops on a console and being the oldest kid in the game, by more than double the age of everyone else playing, listening to crackly voiced dudes who’s balls aint dropped telling you they owned you, when they don’t even own the console the TV or the internet service they are playing on. I would rather play with kids my own age, on a PC. I think another reason PC is not as popular is because the adults on the PC are way better than the kids on the consoles. When Battlefield: Bad Company2 came out, EA was experimenting with the idea of cross-platform multiplayer gaming, where I could be on a PC and playing with people on a console. After the Beta testing, they canceled the idea, because of the incredible lopsidedness of the results. The PC players completely dominated the console players, but then why wouldn’t they? They generally have better equipment, better internet connections, and a keyboard full of buttons (keys) compared to a controller with maybe 8 or 9 buttons, and a mouse versus a controller joystick (give me a break)!?!
And: bah! Just realised you guys are talking about Steam, not Live. Yeah we are not big fans of paying for the opportunity to play games with children.

PCs are just more powerful, take more work, and more thinking to get them to function. And a lot more money, too. Why does any of that make them "better"? Is it more adult to waste your time and money?

Please name one game that you play or have played in the last 10 years where a joystick is better than M&K? I cannot think of one. I prefer a joystick in close-quarter FPS's like Call of Duty... when I hafta do a lot of turning around and/or knifing and the action is more "in your face" and faced pace, I feel like I perform better doing those things with a joystick. On the other hand, if I'm shooting people that are 100+ yards away, I feel a lot "tighter" with a mouse. Make sense?
