Hi Jar et al,I always find it a little curious that people claim that cells have to evolve into eyes in order to be able to sense basic sunlight.Your whole body is covered in cells that sense the heat and warmth of the sun, and even with a blindfold you can tell what direction the sun is, and tell when it is warm and when it is not.Then look at the sun with your eyes closed: with your eyes closed, the complex elements of our eyes - the lens, the image making retina and the focusing muscles are not used, but you will be able to tell where the sun is in the sky.These are simple little steps that show how light sensing can develop.Enjoy.
