Re: Jihadi John sleeps with the fishes..
I won't cheer the death of another human being, but in this case, I have no objections.

Now if we can just find out what she and Billie Joe threw off Tallahatchie Bridge
Billie Joe's diary where he confesses he is gay.
and what, exactly, did mama saw down by the schoolyard
Paul and Julio sharing a joint.
each of those three men thought that song was about him.
And all three would be right.

I grew up with American Bandstand ("I give it an 87, Dick, good beat, easy to dance to")
So did I, but I only give it a 72, Dick, cuz the beat was too slow.
Dick Clark personally never, ever, put the ram in the rama lama ding dong.
Of course he did. The bomp in the bomp bah bomp bah bomp, the ram in the rama lama ding dong and the dip in the dip da dip da dip, would not have entered into the collective consciousness of two generations without him. The bomp, ram and dip would have just sat there all lost and lonely until Dick took them to the autograph table.

I'm still not clear on whom Dick Clark was or what American Bandstand was.
American Bandstand was a TV program that ran in the 50's through the 80's. It was a Rock & Roll program hosted by Clark with lots of kids dancing to Top 40 tunes and some live performances. It was a cultural icon for four generations of teens.
Dick Clark was the host for (almost) the entire run. Thing is Dick never aged. He never lost his boyish face, never grew old, and was immortal until 2012 when he up and died at age 26.
